One of the most recent features that allows you to earn rare and promotional items in Animal Jam is called the Adopt A Pet Checklist. This feature was added to AJ in June 2016. The checklist allows you to keep track of all the Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toys you have bought, and redeemed, on AJ. Today, we are going to take a closer look at the Adopt A Pet Checklist feature. There are a ton of amazing gifts that you can earn by adopting pets on this checklist. Very exciting stuff!
How to Access the Adopt A Pet Checklist in Animal Jam
Pets are smaller versions of Animals that accompany the player's current animal and can be purchased throughout Jamaa. They can be bought in Claws N' Paws, Flippers N' Fins, the Diamond Shop, the Pets-Only Party, or through the Pets section of the Change Your Look menu. Diamond shop pets cost 3 Diamonds each, while most (besides promotional) pets cost 400 Gems. Pets were first announced on.
To access the Adopt A Pet Checklist, you first have to click on the “Change Your Look” button, which can be found at the bottom-left corner of your screen. Once you are there, you have to click on “Pets”. This will take you to your pets overview. On this screen, you will notice a purple button at the bottom, called Toy Box. Simply click on that button to access your Checklist.
However, it should be noted that only players that have already redeemed at least one code that came with a Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toy will see the “Toy Box” button. The button does not show up if you haven’t adopted a pet toy yet. If a player already unlocked the Checklist, you can check theirs out by clicking on their Player Cards. Only unlocked pets will show up though.
How does the Adopt A Pet Checklist Work?
This is a question that gets asked by many Jammers. In order to check off any of the pets on the Checklist, you first have to purchase an Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toy. Those toys come with codes that can be redeemed. Once redeemed, that particular pet will be checked off from your list!
There are several categories of toys; Normal, Gem, Diamond, Rare and Ultra Rare. You get the following rewards for redeeming a pet from each of these categories;
- Normal: 500 Gems
- Gem: 2000 Gems
- Diamond: 3 Diamonds
- Rare: 1000 Gems
- Ultra Rare: Promotional Pet
Here is an example of an Adopt A Pet Checklist that already has several pets unlocked on it. As you can see, there are many greyed out animals that can still be unlocked.
Rare Pet Aj
There are currently six different “series” of Adopt a Pet Checklists. As time progresses, AJHQ releases new Checklists that you can unlock. Right now, there is the Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, Treasure, Limited and Solar Eclipse lists. At the moment, there are nearly 500 Pets that can be unlocked, which is a tremendous amount. Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toys Promo Codes
You might have never seen a Jazwares Toy, and have no idea how to obtain the redeemable codes to unlock the animals on the Checklist. I have found two examples of Adopt A Pet toys, both of which contain the special, redeemable code. Let’s take a closer look at both of them.
The toy package below is of the Adopt A Pet Series Three: Cupcakes collection. Redeeming the code that comes with it will unlock one of the animals on your Adopt A Pet Checklist.
This is another example of an Adopt A Pet Jazwares Toy that contains a code. To see what the code is, simply scratch off the top part to reveal the code, and then go to Animal Jam to redeem it.
Adopt A Pet Checklist Gifts
If you have already started unlocking Pets on your Checklist, you might have noticed the counter at the top-left corner, right next to the gift symbol. The first number tells you how many Pets you have already unlocked. The second number tells you how many more Pets you need to unlock for your next gift.
Yes, you read that correctly! There are special gifts you receive for unlocking a certain amount of Pets. Here is the list of gifts that you receive for unlocking Pets in the Adopt A Pet Checklist.
5 Pets – Lion’s Mane
Yeah she's on chat every day and I know she's been changing the tables to info boxes but I personally feel that's where a good portion of her main space is coming from. Animal jam archives emotes. The reasons I am leaning towards oppose is she's not super active.
The Lion’s Mane is a very cool “hat” item that your animal wears on its head. It will make your animal look like a lion! You get the Lion’s Mane gift for adopting 5 Pets in total.
10 Pets – 3 Diamonds
You receive your next gift on the roadmap for adopting a total of 10 Pets. The gift that you receive is a small pack of 3 Diamonds.
15 Pets – Pet Firefly
The Pet Firefly gift is rewarded for adopting a total of 15 Pets from your Adopt a Pet Checklist.
20 Pets – Peacock Feathers
Animal Jam All Rare Pets
The Peacock Feathers is a clothing item that your animal wears on its tail. It will definitely make you look majestic.
25 Pets – 5 Diamonds
After adopting a total of 25 Pets from your Adopt A Pet Checklist, you will receive a slightly larger pack of 5 Diamonds as a gift.
30 Pets – Pet Grasshopper
Once you have adopted a total of 30 Pets from your Adopt A Pet Checklist, you receive the Pet Grasshopper as a Gift.
Animal Jam Ultra Rare Pets
35 Pets – 7 Diamonds
The more Pets you adopt, the better the Gifts become. Adopting a total of 35 Pets will reward you with a nice pack of 7 Diamonds.
40 Pets – Pet Ladybug
The Pet Ladybug gift is rewarded to players that have adopted a total of 40 Pets from their Adopt A Pet Checklist.
50 Pets – 10 Diamonds
Adopting 50 Pets in total rewards you with a large pack of 10 Diamonds. This would allow you to purchase any animal from the Diamond Shop.
65 Pets – Pet Mantis
The Pet Mantis is rewarded as a gift for adopting a total of 65 Pets.
80 Pets – 15 Diamonds
15 Diamonds is the largest pack of Diamonds you will receive as a gift. You need to adopt a total of 80 Pets to receive the gift.
96 Pets – Alpha Sword
The last gifts are part of the same set. You get the Alpha Sword for adopting a total of 96 Pets.
120 Pets – Alpha Training Mat
The Alpha Training Mat gift is rewarded for adopting a total of 120 Pets.
150 Pets – Alpha Helmet
The Alpha Helmet gift is rewarded for adopting a total of 150 Pets.
Rare Pets Worth Aj
180 Pets – Alpha Gauntlets
Lastly, the Alpha Gauntlets gift is rewarded for adopting a total of 180 Pets.
